Why I teach
The desire to shape young minds because I have a passion for impacting knowledge. Being passionate about Mathematics because of how I was been taught wrongly when I was in secondary school then. The joy of daily interactions, conversations, and relationships with students daily. The stability and growth in the discipline which makes one to always prepare and stay updated for students. The flexibility and lifestyle like holidays and breaks which align well with family life. The legacy of knowing one is contributing to future leaders like Doctors, Lawyers, Engineers e.t.c and lots more. Few Teachers passed across make me still love the profession more too.
A moment I am proud of
It was during JSS 2 Math class. One student, called Tolu, who had always struggled and barely spoke in class. He used to sit at the back, distracted. For weeks I stayed back after school to go over basics with him .Then came the termly test. When I was marking scripts. He scored 78%. It was the highest jump in the whole class.
The next day I returned the scripts. When I called his name, the whole class was happy for him. In that moment I realized teaching isn't just about formulas but about helping someone believe in oneself. He go from I can't to, I want to study Engineer which made my day.

“As a technology-enabled teacher, I want to develop skills in using AI and Google Classroom for lesson delivery, learn how to create engaging digital content with Canva and videos, and get trained in using data to track student progress. I also want knowledge in cybersecurity so I can guide students to use technology safely and productively instead of for fraud.”
